surveyDescription | State of Vermont Windsor County In Re: Discontinuance of .25 Mile of Town Highway No. 49 Book 5 P. 148 Cady Brook Road and Folding Hills Road Order The above entitled matter came on for hearing before the Selectmen of the Town of Hartland on the 22nd day of October AD 1952 pursuant to notice thereof in the following form: You are hereby notified that the Selectmen of the Town of Hartland will meet at Damon Hall in the Village of Hartland on the 22nd day of October AD at eleven o’clock in the forenoon to examine the premises and to hear all persons interested in the proposed discontinuance of the following described highway: Being .25 Miles of Town Highway No. 49 as shown on Map T 36 Vermont Highways, district No. 4, issued in 1949, being that portion of the road running from the Old Cady Place to Woodstock town Line. The said Notice was sent by registered mail, Oct. 9, 1952 to the following named persons: Alfred R. Mc Ewen, Paul Kendall. Return receipts were received from the above named persons. At said hearing the following person appeared. Paul Kendall. Upon examination of the premises and hearing of the Party interested, it is hereby found that the .25 Miles of Town Highway No. 49, being that portion of the road running from the Old Cady Place to Woodstock town line is wholly within the Town of Hartland. That it has not been made to appear that said highway was originally laid out under the direction of the County Court or the Supreme Court, that there is no objection to closing that portion of the said road running from the Old Cady Place to Woodstock Town line (illegible)and hereby is discontinued. This order is effective at the time of its recording in the office of the Town clerk of said Town of Hartland. Dated at Harltand in the county of windsor this 5th day of Dec. 1952. Dean H.
