surveyDescription | To the selectmen of Hartland, the subscribers beg leave to represent to your honorable board that the public requires a pent road to be laid out and made from or near Jonathan Bagley's house in said town to the dwelling house of Winthrop Marcy in said Hartland said road to be laid out and made through land owned by Jonathon Bagley and Winthrop Marcy as in duty bound we ever pray. Received the above petition and after giving due notice to the petition we proceeded to examine the premises therin named and were of the opinion that the petition ought to be granted, therefore we proceeded to lay out and survey said road as follows: Beginning at the center of the gate on the East side of the road South of Jonathon Bagley's house and near a bridge across the brook in the pasture, therein...........(continued below) ........The above described road is surveyed in the center and laid out two rods wide. The within described road is subject to two gates: one of which is to be adjoining the highway at the commencement of the survey and the other on the line between Johnathon Bagley's and Winthrop Marcy's land at the place where said road crosses said line and both of said gates are to be kept in frepair by said Winthrop Marcy - by us |
